Delicious (YUMMY)

Are you into things that are delicious? I know I am. So, I have to ask you: do you know delicious? NOT the delicious that you conclude after a great meal, but the delicious you use to research and tag information to assist you with your lifelong dreams, course development, hobby or vocation.

Delicious is a respository, or as Wikipedia says: Delicious (formerly del.icio.us) is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering web bookmarks. The site was founded by Joshua Schachter in 2003 and acquired by Yahoo in 2005. By the end of 2008, the service claimed more than 5.3 million users and 180 million unique bookmarked URLs.[2][3] Yahoo sold Delicious to AVOS Systems in April 2011,[4] and the site relaunched in a "back to beta" state on September 27 that year.[5]

It's a pretty easy system to master, in fact if you watch a 9 minute YouTube video, you'll have everything you need to know. I find that my students love it for them to do their research and have a repository for that research.

Please be advised that this tutorial is a bit dated because the interface has been updated since this tutorial was created, BUT IT still gets across the essential information about the site. You'll do well watching it and then figuring out the "updates."

 Good Luck!
