WhatsApp?
This is a follow-up to my recent blog about texting. I didn't think that I'd be following up so soon, but FaceBook announced today that they'd be buying WhatsApp. And they are paying $19 billion for it. Sheesh! I guess they thinking normal cellphone texting is dying too.

How WhatsApp Works
"WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other! Because WhatsApp Messenger uses the same internet data plan that you use for email and web browsing, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends." (From WhatsApp website)So, get on the band wagon and get this now before it's a paid service and you can't get grand-fathered into its service plan.
