Over the holiday break I was amazed at the fact that my friends and family, who have Amazon Prime, did not really know the full extent of their benefits. So, here they are to the best of my knowledge, probably more coming in this busy service-oriented time (in no particular order):

1. Free two day shipping for all Prime items (usually this does not include third party sellers, but they'd be smart to get on board)

1. Unlimited instant streaming of 41,000 movies and TV episodes; you are entitled to view Prime Instant Video through the Amazon Instant Video service
2. Through Amazon Prime Player (APP), any CD that you have purchased is now available to you through APP
3. Over 350,000 Kindle titles to borrow for free (only one per month for best sellers); Google: "Borrow Books from Kindle Owners"
4. Did you know that Amazon Prime members can share their shipping benefits with immediate family members (up to 4) within the same household
5. If you purchase a Prime membership for a small business, up to 4 co-workers can use it
6. You can actually sign-up for Amazon Prime for a 30-day trial membership
7. You can do shipping "upgrades" to expedite delivery:
1. one-day shipping      $2.99/item
2. Saturday shipping     $7.99/item
3. local express             $3.99/item
4. release date delivery Free
5. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico: see separate rates
8. Prime members can also "lend" books to family members: Google "Lend or Borrow Kindle Books"
9. There is a new service that Amazon is offering in limited areas (slowly piloting) called "Amazon Fresh." The cost is a hefty $299/year and is currently only available in San Francisco and Los Angeles.what you get is FREE same day shipping of orders $35 or more, including groceries and local products
