- Google has revamped its Google+ social media website to be more user-friendly and able to use Android and iOS mobile devices more readily.
- Microsoft has announced a new service called PowerApps to help enterprises build their own business apps. It offers a Mircrosoft-like office interface with templates and a visual designer for workflows.
- Changes are occurring in terms of smartphone mobile click-throughs. Data shows a 47% increase in Q3 2015 activity from mobile devices, or an increase of 24% from last year. At the same time data for tablets is showing a decrease of 6% during the same two timelines.
- FaceBook gives nonprofits a new tool. A new app called "fundraisers" allows them to tell their campaign story, rally supporters, collect donations, and track progress toward the stated goal.
- Centennials are shaking up e-Commerce. Centennials (ages 13-18), are leading the online shopping charge, according to PowerReviews, while saying that 94% of them prefer to research products online and then 46% to shop in stores. Whereas, 37% of Millenials (19-34) prefer purchasing at brick and mortar stores. Also said that Centennials are not patient, whereby they said they WOULD NOT purchase a product o a page that they could not ask a question about the product and be answered.
- Reaching Millenials: Advertisers are spending 500% more in their budgets to reach their millennials.
- 24% of Millenials are more loyal to their brands than Baby Boomers.
- 66% of Millenials believe that online content drives their loyalty to a brand, i.e. good ebsite, good product.
- 95% of Millenials are price sensitive, or compare prices to last year.
- Millenials (from age 21-34) have the highest levels of trust in online mobile formats with branded websites according to Nielsen.
