TT Snippets: Volume 3: No. 1
Another issue of my techno-travels Snippets. (These snippets are from the current Website Magazine)
1. Add to #AmazonCart (Amazon and Twitter Co-brand)
"Tweet while you shop! A new partnership between Amazon and Twitter is enabling consumers to add products to their Amazon shopping carts by simply tweeting the #AmazonCart hashtag. To use the feature, consumers must first connect their Twitter and Amazon accounts. Social shoppers can then reply with the #AmazonCart hashtag to any tweets containing product links to have the items added to their Amazon shopping carts. The transaction can later be completed on Amazon. (1)"
2. Google acquires Rangespan
"In a move that will benefit its shopping platform, Google acquired Rangespan. The London-based startup is a provider of product listing management and big data services that help sellers identify products that will be in high demand in the future. Rangespan's services will likely be integrated into Google's Shopping unit to help retailers increase sales by optimizing their advertised product offerings in real-time in response to online market demands. (2)"
3. Foursquare Breaks Up
"Foursquare is splitting its business into two separate apps —focusing on reviews (no check-in) in its legacy app and introducing a new app called Swarm. With Swarm, users are able to share what they are up to, find out which of their friends are nearby and discover friends who would like to hangout. According to Foursquare, Swarm will be available soon for both iOS and Android, eventually Windows Phone, too.(3)"

5. Should CEO's Have a Social Media Presence? (5)
Chief
executive officers (CEOs), first and foremost, must be visionaries.
Their vision should be inspired by their personal beliefs, ideologies,
needs and values. From this vision, the CEO draws his or her creativity
and passion to achieve long-term objectives. At a fundamental level, the
CEO is the brand and the product is the result of their vision,
inspiration and creativity. - See more at:
